Frequently asked
What is Feed Filter?
Feed Filter is a feed audit and filtering service for social media. The website shows which accounts are filling your feed with clickbait, spam, rage bait, and low-signal clutter; the browser extension and mobile apps apply filtering you control while you browse.
Which platforms does it support?
Feed Filter's audit website currently supports X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook. Real-time filtering is most complete on X and Instagram today, with additional platform support on the roadmap.
How do I install the app?
Feed Filter is currently in TestFlight beta on iOS. Visit feedfilter.com/app for the latest install info, or email help@feedfilter.com to request beta access.
How do I report a bug?
Two ways: (1) tap the ? help button inside the app — it attaches diagnostic context, which is the fastest path to a fix. (2) Email help@feedfilter.com directly with a description and, if possible, a screenshot.
How do I suggest a feature?
Post on our public feedback board at feedfilter.com/feedback. You can upvote existing requests and track what's planned, in progress, or shipped.
What data does Feed Filter collect?
Filtering preferences stay on-device. Feed Filter only reads publicly available posts — the same content visible to anyone browsing the site. We never ask for your password or access DMs, private messages, or account settings. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
How do I restore a purchase?
If you previously unlocked a paid feature, open the app and go to Settings → Restore Purchases. If the purchase still doesn't appear, email help@feedfilter.com with the Apple ID email used for the original purchase and we'll sort it out.
How do I delete my account or data?
Most Feed Filter data lives on-device and is removed when you uninstall the app. For any account-linked data (payment records, saved audits on the website), email help@feedfilter.com and we'll permanently delete it within 30 days.
Why am I still seeing posts I expected to be filtered?
Filtering is based on content patterns and isn't perfect — borderline content can slip through. Use the Spam tab to review what was filtered, un-filter anything we got wrong, and adjust your per-platform filter settings. If you see a consistent miss, send us the post URL and we'll refine the filters.
